We are obsessed with white. Each quilt is double-sided to allow for design versatility and the reverse always displays a simple white diamond hand-stitched pattern.
Naturally then, we needed one quilt with this all over diamond on each side to complete the collection.
How to use: For ADITYA AHUJA quilts, we recommend professional dry cleaning only. Dry cleaning helps preserve colours and fibres to best enhance the lifespan of your quilt.
However, we understand that this might not always be feasible. If you choose to wash your quilt at home please try to follow the steps below, and do note that we are not liable for any mishaps!
Should you decide to wash your quilt, we suggest washing in cold water, preferably by hand or on the gentlest cycle setting in a machine with a gentle, pH-neutral soap or laundry detergent. Please note that some natural dyes, especially indigo, will bleed during the first few washings, so we recommend washing the quilt separately or with like colours. Air dry flat if possible – if not, hang to dry.
With proper care our quilts should give you years of pleasure!
Stains:
In the event of a stain to the product, the best approach is to remove the stain immediately. It is best to scrape off dried stains. Start from the edge of the stain and scrape towards the middle. Be gentle to avoid damaging the fibers. You can remove wet stains by placing a kitchen roll over the stain. Then use tepid water on a cloth or sponge. Moisten the stain, soak up the water with the kitchen roll, and then repeat until the stain has gone. Take care to avoid getting the product too wet; you can also blot with a dry cloth to avoid over wetting. Do not rub the stain, as this makes it more difficult to remove and can also damage the fibers.
Packaging: This product is packed in recyclable Kora fabric and wrapped with a ribbon before being placed within a corrugated box.
Materials: All our quilts are constructed from fine breathable cotton voile and filled with pure organic cotton. As a result, the quilts are lightweight and porous, allowing moisture to evaporate. An ADITYA AHUJA quilt is soft, comfortable and impeccably hand crafted.
How to dispose: We encourage our customers to recycle each product once they are no longer of use. All our products are manufactured using natural fabrics and handloom techniques and they are built to last and can be repurposed easily. If you wish to dispose of one of our products, please contact us instead, we will arrange for the item to be picked up, repurpose it and donate to a family in need.

Meet the maker
A passion for textiles runs in Aditya Ahuja's blood. His grandfather, originally a wool buyer for Tatters field Co, Philadelphia, formed his own company manufacturing flat woven rugs in the central plains of Uttar Pradesh in 1963. His perseverance and design aesthetic led to the rejuvenation of a moribund industry and a revival of the craft of fine dhurrie weaving in India. In turn, Aditya’s father dedicated over a decade to working with karigars (craftsmen) to create intricate dhurrie rugs for the company's discerning clientele. His obstinate will and production acumen transformed the hand loom fabrication process, enabling the production of detailed patterns on incredibly large single-piece custom rugs. Alongside him, Aditya’s mother focused her efforts on the manufacture of chain stitch rugs and crewel embroidery from the hills and valleys of Kashmir. Her detail-oriented approach and Swedish aesthetic also led her to design, helping fashion some of the company’s most iconic pieces.
It is no wonder then that Aditya Ahuja’s first memories are of leaping from carpet pile to carpet pile at his grandfather’s home-furnishing showroom in Mumbai, India. Nor is it especially surprising that excursions with his family often dovetailed into design explorations – spending hours in clothing stores examining quality and fibre, talking about colour and feel, rather than trying on shirts and trousers. Naturally, Aditya joined his grandfather’s company, SHYAM AHUJA, right out of college. For over a decade, Aditya worked and learned alongside his grandfather in New York, imbibing a singularly important lesson – quality above all else in production and understated elegance and simplicity in design. While working his way up to CEO and Director of SHYAM AHUJA, he also had the good fortune to interact with some of the finest interior designers and architects in North America, allowing him to expand his burgeoning design knowledge and fine tune his own singular interior aesthetic.
His first individual venture, ADITYA AHUJA, is truly but an excuse to continue fascinating over design. His hope to showcase the beauty of Indian pattern and textile in new and exciting ways, just as his family always has.
