Lagom India
"“Lagom” in Swedish means “not too much, not too little, just right”. It is more of a lifestyle. It’s balanced, simple and mindful, just like the products we have created and want to create.

all things made in Kerala to showcase the beauty and diversity of god’s own country. Our coconut shell products are locally handmade by an artisan using discarded coconut shells. We want to have a large marketplace for all things sustainable. At team Lagom, we firmly believe that “sustainability should not be viewed as a burden, but simply as a set of different viable choices”."

"The pandemic has changed our lives like we never imagined. After flying as a captain with a private airline for 14 years, I had a baby during the pandemic. It was easy to take a sabbatical from flying, considering the covid situation. While the little one takes most of my time, I was also waiting to don the hat of an entrepreneur. But it had to be something that I felt strongly about. The answer was to create sustainable products by reusing, recycling or upcycling. My husband is a
fourth-generation organic farmer, and we have many coconut trees. We came up with the idea to use discarded coconut shells and turn them into products we use almost daily. We hunted for an artisan and were lucky to find one, as it’s a dying art form now with the advent of machines. We didn’t stop at discarded coconut shell products. We have now added 100% natural Kerala village-style podi and masalas for your convenience. These are made by rural women, encouraging them. To get self-reliant and empowered. So even when we were brainstorming for the name of our company, Lagom was a very appropriate choice. It’s a Swedish word that means “not too much, not too little, just right” Lagom is more of a lifestyle. It’s balanced, simple and mindful, just like the products we have created and want to create. Sustainability should not be viewed as a burden but simply as a set of different viable choices."
